Barley cooks the same as rice (YES IT'S EASY).... Just use a 2:1 ratio (2 cups water to one cup barley). Bring to a boil and then simmer for about 30 minutes.
Or you can simply add uncooked barley to any soup and cook until tender.
I added barley to a leftover turkey soup and it was tasty! Good luck!
I have been better about buying BULK products lately and I am really loving it! Check your local health food stores for delicious NUTS, SEEDS, GRAINS, RAISINS, LENTILS, BEANS, and COCONUT!

The great part about eating "WHOLE" foods is that you are getting more nutrients, and higher protein NATURALLY! Also I found these SWEET little containers at IKEA, only 3.99! I know it's exciting!
