Try making your own potato chips. Just slice potatoes, beets and sweet potatoes as thin as possible (if you have a julienne slicer that works perfectly), Toss in Olive oil, sea salt and pepper, arrange on a parchment lined baking sheet. Bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes or until crisp.

For a high protein snack try making your own trail mix. I like to use raw peanuts, almonds, raisins, cranberries (look for the apple juice sweetened variety), sunflower seeds, dried unsweetened coconut, pumpkin seeds or anything else you would like. Combine everything together and put trail mix in little snack baggies so you have a go-to snack when you are in a hurry.
