Recipe of the Week

Aunt Jackie's Jell-O Cookies

3/4 Cups Shortening
1/2 Cup Sugar
1 -3 oz. pkg Jell-O any flavor (cherry is good, but you can do anything, grape, lemon, lime etc.)
2 eggs
1 teaspoon Vanilla
2 1/2 cups Flour
1 teaspoon Baking Powder
1 Teaspoon Salt

Heat oven to 400 degrees. Mix together shortening, sugar, jell-o, eggs and vanilla. Add flour, baking powder and salt.  Roll into balls and then roll in sugar.  Smash cookies with the bottom of a glass, just slightly.  Bake for 6-8 minutes.

MMMMMMMMMM.....these cookies are REALLY good!  I know it's a little bizarre  with Jell-o in the recipe, but you have to try it out.  The kids will love them too.  Have Fun!!!!
