Recipe of the Week

Don't Mess with
Texas Sheet Cake

2 sticks butter
1 cup water
4 Tablespoons Cocoa
2 cups sugar
2 cups flour
1 teaspoon salt
2 eggs
1 cup sour cream
1 teaspoon baking soda

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine butter, water and cocoa in a medium saucepan. Bring to a low boil.  Remove from heat and pour into large mixing bowl.  Add sugar, flour and salt and mix. Add Eggs, sour cream and baking soda and mix again until smooth.
Pour into large ungreased cookie sheet.  Bake for 20 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.

Frosting:

4 Tablespoons cocoa
1 stick butter
6 Tablespoons milk
1 Tablespoon Vanilla
3 cups powdered sugar

Heat butter and cocoa in a small saucepan until a low boil.  Remove from heat and add milk, vanilla, powdered sugar.  Mix with electric mixer until smooth.
Let cake cool 10 minutes before pouring frosting over cake.
Take this cake to your next big event or party, it is SO SO SO GOOD!!

(p.s. I poured the frosting on right after it came out of the oven which is why it sunk in.....remember to let it cool 10 minutes or so before pouring on the frosting. Also I added a little powdered sugar on the top for fun. Enjoy!)
